The part-time immersive modular format of the Oxford Executive MBA is designed for busy working professionals. With intakes starting in January and September, the programme is taught over 16-18 week-long modules, depending on the electives you choose. These run approximately every five weeks, enabling you to continue your work commitments and make an immediate impact in the workplace as you learn.
The teaching for the January programme is delivered over 22 months and the teaching for the September programme is delivered over 24 months. Assessments take place at the end of each module, extending the duration of each programme by approximately 1-2 months.

Our goal is to help you prepare for a future career, whether in a new role or by maximising your impact in your current position, which meets your development aspirations, suits your skills, and fulfils your potential.
Our Careers Development Centre offers each Oxford Executive MBA student the following:
- a dedicated Executive MBA Careers Coach as well as access to a network of specialist industry advisors
- expert careers advice including bespoke career workshops and skills sessions
- access to our online career management system, including job board and online resources and subscriptions
- industry sector discussions and guest speaker events
- Oxford Business Networks and Oxford Business Alumni Network activities, events and connections.
Programme Structure
Courses include:
- Core courses that offer you a comprehensive understanding of modern business. The content of these vary, and includes one international course.
- Elective courses, selected by you, including overseas options designed to develop your individual skills and specialisations.
- Compulsory integrative projects: the Global Opportunities and Threats Oxford (GOTO) project and the Entrepreneurship Project (EP), both team collaborations, draw together and apply themes and topics studied on the programme.
