The programme in Housing Management at The University of Hong Kong is designed not only to upgrade the training and skills of practising housing professionals but also to provide intellectual and professional training to those wishing to specialize in the housing area at postgraduate level. 

The MHousMan degree programme has two streams of study, the Academic Stream and the Professional Stream. The MHousMan (Professional Stream) is recognized by the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Hong Kong Institute of Housing.

Academic Requirements

  • This programme does not recognise GRE® scores.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

General Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the courses leading to the degree of Master of Housing Management, candidates:

  • Shall comply with the General Regulations and the Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Curricula; 
  • A Bachelor's degree with honours of this University; 
  • A qualification of equivalent standard of this University or another university or comparable institution accepted for this purpose; 
  • Satisfy the examiners in a qualifying examination if required.
