Degree requirements
The Education (Special Education) program from University of Malaya covers Forty Five (45) credit hours which include twelve (12) credit hours for core courses, three (3) credit hours for selected courses and thirty (30) credit hours for the dissertation.

- A Bachelor of Education with a CGPA of at least 3.00 or its equivalent ;OR
- A Bachelor of Education degree with a CGPA of at least 3.00 or its equivalent degree; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree ; AND
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education with a CGPA of 3.00 ; AND
- A professional teaching qualification ; OR
- Related teaching experience recognised by the Senate; OR
- Work experience related to the field; OR
- A professional qualification from a recognised professional body; OR
- A qualification approved by the Senate from time to time;
