Overview

Geography (Part-time) at Birkbeck, University of London is structured exactly the same as our MSc Geography, but you take fewer modules. It is ideal if you are interested in studying geography at postgraduate level for personal or professional reasons, but don't want to commit to the dissertation element of a full Master's programme. This flexible evening study course allows you to explore your passion for geography and you can go on to complete our MSc Geography, if you wish.

Careers and Employability

Graduates go on to careers in business, environmental management, local government, policy work, and in environmental groups and charities. Possible professions include geographical information systems officer, nature conservation officer, policy researcher or environmental consultant. This degree can also be useful in becoming a planning and development surveyor or town planner, a market researcher or tourism officer.
