Overview
The Wine Tourism Innovation (WINTOUR) program from University of Bordeaux is a unique educational programme resulting from an established track of collaborations among three leading European universities for Higher Education training in Tourism, Oenology and related fields: Universitat Rovira i Virgili - coordinator (URV - Tarragona, Spain), Université de Bordeaux (UBx, France), and Universidade do Porto (UP, Portugal). These universities are located in highly attractive touristic areas recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites with a long tradition producing wines and specialty wines. Related industries and institutions give support to this training program.

The WINTOUR programme is aimed at preparing broadly trained and highly adaptable and qualified professionals in the tourism and wine industries in order to promote innovative wine tourism developments which will generate added value through the increased income and recognition of this sector.

General requirements
- Have completed a Bachelor or Master degree (minimum 180 ECTS) in the fields of Tourism, Economics, Management, Marketing, Languages, Natural and Experimental Sciences (e.g. Oenology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Agriculture), or closely related subjects.
- Personal motivation, prior work experience in the field, as well as linguistic skills in languages other than English (especially Spanish, French or Portuguese, the languages of the organizing institutions) are important elements in the selection process.
- Candidates must present a recent English language certificate, at least a B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (official test certifications from Cambridge ESOL, IELTS or TOEFL are accepted).
