Key facts

Candidates who pass the written and oral exams are admitted to the History program and are required to complete 24 credits in order to graduate the masters program with thesis. For graduating the masters program without thesis, the candidates are required to complete 36 credits. Those who are not admitted to the masters program with thesis can graduate the program by taking an additional elective course in lieu of HIST 502 course, along with four additional elective courses that they are required to take.

Seminars and Thesis are non-credit. The Yeditepe University students will take two must courses and two electives every semester, complete their theses successfully and at the end of one academic year, they will have their diplomas. Candidates who are not considered qualified by the Evaluation Jury on the basis of Scientific Preparation Level will be admitted to the program, provided that they take and pass the undergraduate courses which suit their own areas of interest.
