Key facts

The main principle of this program is to compare Turkish Literature with Western Literatures, but also with Persian Literature and with other Mediterranian Literatures. Interactions among literature and mythology, cinema, music, fine arts are also fields of analysis considered in our program. The Comparative Literature program is offered at Yeditepe University.

Most of our students have studied Turkish Literature. But we also accept students from other departments. Those coming from other departments, but also some coming from the Departments of Turkish Language and Literature should attend an academic foundation program. The academic comittee of the program decides which courses to attend for each student.

Note: Master degree applicants are not required to obtain a TOEFL before they apply,instead they can take our Proficiency exam. If students dont acquire 55 out of 100 in the Proficiency Exam, they will be automatically placed in our Preparatory School.
