Do you want to learn about the complexity of biological systems ranging from single molecules to whole ecosystems? Or about subjects such as evolution, ecology, molecular evolution and biodiversity? The two-year Master of Science Biology programme at Wageningen University and Research offers you tailor-made programmes fitting your personal interests.

About

Biology is a very broad field and biologists are therefore suited for jobs at different areas. That can be in the direction of your own unique specialisation, but perhaps also in another biological or non-biological function.

The M.Sc. in Biology at Wageningen University and Research offers you the knowledge and quality of 27 Biology Chair Groups so you can conduct both fundamental and applied research. For instance, you could study plants, animals and their natural enemies, the genetics and development-biology of plants, the adaptation capabilities of animals, the ecology of natural and agrarian ecosystems or microbic interactions and biological transformations.

A choice out of nine specialisations will chart the course of your biology studies here. Biological issues are at the forefront of the technological advance of modern society and play a central role in global concerns about how people and the environment influence each other.
