Cognitive Linguistics
The Cognitive Linguistics program of Case Western Reserve University goes beyond the visible structure of language and investigates the considerably more complex backstage operations of cognition that create grammar, conceptualization, discourse, and thought itself.
History
Since many of our students research local history, the History program of Case Western Reserve University also contributes to growth of historical knowledge about Ohio. Our partnership with the Western Reserve Historical Society further promotes local history. Some of our graduates have also gone into High School education, providing the region with highly trained history teachers.
