Description
The Geoff Dudley Bursaries are named after the late Geoffrey Dudley, designer and sculptor 1918-1986.
Born in Wednesfield, Staffordshire, Dudley studied at Wolverhampton School of Art, 1939, 1945-1946. He was a travelling scholar and lecturer in sculpture, particularly in Newcastle and Durham Universities. Geoff was later head of the School of Sculpture at Chelsea School of Arts from 1974-1984.
The Bursaries were made possible by Geoff’s late wife, Joan, who wished to support sculpture students at Chelsea in memory of her husband.
The scholarships will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards course costs and living expenses for the duration of the course.
Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.
Benefits
The Geoff Dudley Bursaries of £10,000 each are available to 2 Home or International students accepted on the MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Geoff Dudley Bursaries students must be:
- Accepted on the full-time MA Fine Art (Sculpture-based, 3 or 4 dimension only) course at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL starting in September 2025.
