Description
Their undergraduate scholarships for September entry are designed to reward excellence in all its forms, giving you additional support while you're studying with them.
They offer a wide range of scholarships to their International undergraduate students and partner with certain institutions around the world to make higher education in the UK more accessible.
The BU Sport Scholarship is available to high-level sporting athletes coming to study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level at BU. The scholarship is designed to provide you with the funding you need to develop your sporting abilities and take them to the next level.
You must demonstrate excellence in your chosen sport, and be part of a Regional, National and/or International squad and compete at that level. Athletes receiving a scholarship will ideally represent BU in the BUCS programme (League and Individual), as well as themselves and/or their club at regional, national or international level. Individual athletes will also need to be competitive with top performers within the BUCS programme.
Benefits
You can apply for £500 to £5,000 of funding and put this money towards coaching, equipment, competition entry fees, travel expenses or/or support services.
Eligibility
- Any applicant for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course delivered at BU.
- Be a high performing sportsperson and have the desire to continue to develop in the sporting arena, as well as academically.

You must ensure your application is supported by a reference from a High-Performance Coach or National Governing Body coach/ If you are applying for a sport that sits outside our performance BUCS programme, you will need to ensure that two references are sent alongside your application.
Application deadline: 31 August if your course starts in September and 30 November if your course starts in January.
