Description
The A. James Diefenderfer Memorial Scholarship was established in 1990 to honor A. James Diefenderfer, the former Dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Declared major in any field within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
- Demonstrate financial need by filing the 2026–27 FAFSA or the CA Dream Act Application (CADAA).
- Demonstrated scholastic achievement.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Open to undergraduate students.
Criteria - Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Having a declared major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
- Financial need.
