Description
The NL Scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s in the Netherlands.
Benefits
The scholarship amounts to €5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies. Please note that this is not a full-tuition scholarship.
Eligibility
- You are a prospective student
- You are applying for a programme in the Netherlands for the first time
- You will be paying the institutional tuition fee
- Your nationality is non-EEA
- You do not have a degree from an education institution in the Netherlands
- You are applying for a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS)
- You meet the specific admission requirements set by the AUAS programme you want to study
- You have not received an NL Scholarship before

The deadline for the 2025–2026 academic year passed on May 1, 2025. Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year will open in March 2026.
You can apply for the NL Scholarship using the form. You need to login with your AUAS ID. The Central Student Administration sends you your AUAS ID by email after applying through Studielink. You need to activate your AUAS ID. The International Office of the AUAS programme you wish to enrol in can help you with any questions regarding the NL Scholarship.
