The Chinese Government Scholarships application shall not be accepted by any individual or intermediary agency. Applicants should consult the school directly to submit the application.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Education background and age limits:
- Applicants for master degree must have a bachelor degree and be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for doctoral degree must have a master degree and be under the age of 40.
- Requirements for Language (Compulsory):
- Chinese-Medium Programs: HSK4 (or levels above).
- English-Medium Programs (for applicants from Non-English Speaking Countries): IELTS 6 / TOEFL 80 / Other official English Proficiency Certificate

Submit an application in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System , choose TYPE B, agency number 10008. (There is no need to submit the pre-admission notice in the initial step of application.)
Submit an application in the USTB System (onlineapply.ustb.edu.cn), finish the registration fee payment. (The fee is not refundable regardless of the application result.)
USTB will review the application materials and issue the Pre-admission to applicants who have passed the review by email.
Applicants upload the Pre-admission into CSC system.
USTB will submit the recommended list to CSC.
