The Chesters Scholarship helps care-experienced students from Scotland and the rest of the UK meet the living or accommodation costs of undergraduate study at St Andrews.

Description

Established through a donation from Pamela J Chesters CBE 1979 and Alan Chesters, the award forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme for academically gifted students experiencing financial barriers.

Benefits

£4,400 paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees. 

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be from a care-experienced background.
  • Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria.
  • Please note that as the Wardlaw scholarships are donor-funded, core personal details may be passed to the benefactors of your scholarship with your permission. This permission is requested in the application form. If you select that you do not wish to be considered for donor funding, you will only be considered for the St Andrews Access Award.
