Description
The University of South Wales is offering eligible full-time students a fund paid directly to them in their first year of studies.
Benefits
Eligible students will receive £1,000 paid directly to them in their first year of studies only.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you need to meet all the following criteria:
- Be classed as a home student.
- Be eligible for UK student finance maintenance support from Student Finance Wales (SFW), Student Finance England (SFE), Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI) or Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)
- Have a household income of below £25,000 year as assessed by SFW, SFE, SFNI or SAAS
- Be studying at a USW campus - Pontypridd (Treforest, Glyntaff and Sport Park), Cardiff, Newport
- Be enrolled on year 1 or year 0 of a full time eligible undergraduate degree lasting 3 or more years starting in September.
- Apply to USW and firmly accept USW’s offer by the UCAS decline by default deadline in May.
- Be approved for Student Finance funding by 31st July.
