Description
The GREAT Scholarships programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities.
Benefits
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at over 60 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Eligibility
- At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to successful nationals and residents of Thailand, Mexico and Ghana who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year, on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
