The studentships are offered to support access to the MA Government Studies programme for Home students from underrepresented groups and those who would otherwise be unable to afford postgraduate study.

Successful applicants are selected through a competitive application and interview process before being invited to apply for the MA Government Studies programme.

Submission of a 500-word personal statement which should demonstrate financial need and the impact receiving this bursary will have on them/their career and interest in British government and politics.

Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to interview, which will be conducted by a panel convened by the Policy Institute.
