Description

The Bangor Bursary is available to eligible full-time undergraduate students studying at Bangor University. The bursary is awarded based on taxable household income and is assessed annually. Eligible students receive the bursary in addition to any student finance or other university bursaries for which they qualify. Some PGCE students may also be eligible if they are not entitled to Initial Teacher Training (ITT) training incentives.

Benefits

£1,000 per year for students with a taxable household income of £25,000 or less.

£500 per year for students with a taxable household income between £25,001 and £40,000.

Eligibility

  • Must be a UK student (excluding students funded by Student Finance Wales).
  • Must be enrolled on a full-time undergraduate course at Bangor University.
  • Must be liable to pay the maximum undergraduate tuition fee.
  • Students receiving certain other bursaries (such as NHS bursaries) are not eligible.
  • Some PGCE students may be eligible if they are not entitled to ITT training incentives.
  • Eligibility is assessed based on taxable household income and ongoing engagement with studies.
