Description
These measures were taken in response to the political crisis that unfolded after the presidential elections in Belarus. The goal of the program is to help strengthen the Belarusian civil society, as well as provide opportunities for sustainable economic development in the future.
Benefits
The extension of the scheme offers a monthly scholarship to master’s students in a fixed amount of 650 EUR to cover living costs for studies in Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. It is to be paid for one academic year in 2026/2027 (for actual study period during the academic year based on justified student status): up to 10 monthly instalments per academic year at a higher education institution.
Eligibility
- Have been awarded the SALT III scholarship for the master’s studies in 2025/2026.
- Be currently enrolled in the master’s programme, hold an active student status for the 2025/2026 academic year and continue the same master’s programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.
- Have satisfactory academic performance, with no more than one (1) outstanding academic debt from previous semesters. Any such debt must be successfully retaken at the beginning of the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, prior to the first scholarship payment. In cases where there is more than one academic debt, applicants must provide a strong and reasonable explanation for their eligibility for a scholarship extension.
