Description
To further its mission, the program gives scholarships to selected new students each semester. The purpose of the VCU ELP Scholarship Program is to provide additional assistance to enable financially disadvantaged students to pursue their education in the program.
Benefits
The scholarship amounts are:
Maximum of $2,000 for one semester for a full-time student (registered in 18-22 credit hours)
Maximum of $240 for part-time, evening courses
Please note that these scholarships are only guaranteed for one term.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be admitted to the VCU English Language Program before applying for the scholarship
- Be a new student (first semester in the program) OR a returning student who has not received a scholarship previously.

If you plan to apply for a student visa (F-1), you must provide evidence of other sources of financing to pay for other expenses not covered by the scholarship.
