Description

Although the Alumni Scholarship Program manages scholarships for students who have a parent or grandparent who received a degree from UA, the majority of our scholarships are available to all students, regardless of any affiliation with UA.

Eligibility

The program is currently designed to:

  • reward high school seniors and transfer students for their academic and leadership achievements,
  • recognize current full-time undergraduate students for academic excellence,
  • assist graduate students with their efforts for higher learning,
  • support distance learners with their online education,
  • retain UA Early College students entering as on-campus freshmen, and
  • attract children and grandchildren of active UA graduates to the Capstone.

For entering freshmen and transfer students, UA’s scholarship application is included in the admission application.

By applying for admission to The University of Alabama, students will be considered for all scholarships for which they qualify. Students may apply for specific scholarships using the supplemental scholarship application. 

Students can access the application on the myBama portal under the Admissions/Scholarships tab. If a scholarship is not listed on the supplemental scholarship application, then the student is automatically considered if they meet the criteria.
