FUAS’s roots date back more than 150 years to the foundation of the Royal Danish School of Navigation in 1852 which became the Royal School of Marine Steam Engineering a few decades later. Up to this day the maritime study programmes are one of the things that set FUAS apart.
Whether you want to study for a bachelor’s degree or your master’s, FUAS has a wide range of degree programmes to offer. No matter which course of study you choose, you will be taught by people with considerable working experience in the private sector. So our teaching staff will not only guide you through the theoretical aspects of their fields of expertise but also share their real life working experience with you.
As a university of applied sciences teaching is one of our daily tasks, so is applied research and technology transfer. We practice what we teach in a number of projects and in addition to our faculties, FUAS is home to several research institutes and centres carrying out research and development activities.
