Business & Management (1)
Engineering & Technology (1)

INSA chose to create its foundation, with Hubert Reeves renowned astrophysician as its patron, to assert its development policy and strengthenits cooperation with its socio-economic environment.

INSA Toulouse works in close collaboration with industry to offer an educational programme which corresponds to the expectations of companies.

Students are encouraged to play an active role in their education and spend a significant part of their studies working on full-scale projects.

Problem and project-based learning is a student-centred approach which stimulates the desire to learn and autonomy. The project is the backbone of the course: instead of following lectures then taking exams to check what has been learnt, students, from the first year, spend an increasing part of their time working in teams on complex problems and projects designed by teachers, and guided by a tutor.

INSA Toulouse’s education is closely linked to top level research in order to develop its engineering students’ ability to imagine and develop the technologies of the future.

For this, INSA:

  • is strongly involved in the research policy of the “Université of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées”
  • has laboratories linked to each engineering department
  • has academics and researchers carrying out dynamic research in internationally recognized laboratories (CNRS, INRA, MESR)
  • provides training for research for all its engineering students throughout the five years of their course.
