About
History
The history of UPO officially starts in 1998, but the first Studium generale dates back to 1228 and was established in Vercelli. It was the seventh university to be settled in Italy and the twelfth in Europe, according to the History of the University in Europe by Jacques Verger (1992).
Education
If you have a high school diploma, you can enroll in a three-year degree course or a single-cycle master's degree course. If you already have a bachelor's degree, you can access the master's degree or a master's degree. If you are a master's degree, you can enroll in a master's degree, a PhD, a specialization school, or higher education courses.
Research
The research of our University is managed by seven departments in collaboration with the Research Department of the Rectorate. The Departments of Law and Political, Economic and Social Sciences ( DiGSPES ) and of Sciences and Technological Innovation ( DiSIT ) are located in Alessandria ; in Novara the Departments of Translational Medicine ( DiMET ), Health Sciences ( DiSS ), Pharmaceutical Sciences ( DSF ) and Studies for Economics and Business ( DiSEI ); in Vercelli the Department of Humanities ( DiSUm ).

The University situated in a city named Novara. The environment of the university is really good. If you talk about the study environment, It's really great. The professors are very helpful. Here you can find well established laboratory for research. As an international student, the university help me in every steps. Overall, it’s a very good experiences at UPO.

University of Eastern Piedmont, where I am currently studying. Here the environment for study is really good. The Professors are very helpful. As an international student, I get extra care from them. It has a well established Laboratory. Overall, the environment is really great & I am satisfied to study here as a Medical Biotechnology student.
