The University of Milano-Bicocca was founded as autonomous organization on June, 10th 1998. In the Times Higher Education rankings 2015dedicated to the best hundred universities with less than 50 years, the University was ranked 24th in the world, 1st in Italy.

The University of Milano-Bicocca was established on June 10, 1998, to serve students from Northern Italy and relieve some of the pressure on the over-crowded University of Milan. Groups of professors and researchers chose to come and participate in the enterprise.


We are offering courses - Bachelors, Masters, PhDs - which will equip you for the challenges of a complex and changing world. Students, researches and professors come toghether at our University with ideas, enthusiasm and talent, with the intention to create a brighter future.


The University of Milano-Bicocca has sixteen departments in the fields of Economics, Educational Sciences, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Psychology and Sociology.

The University of Milano-Bicocca is active in a wide array of research topics, thanks in part to its numerous departments, research centres and centres of excellence. These structures cooperate together, with different consortia, and with public and private third parties from outside the University.


This Careers Service provides a wide range of assistance and information for high school students who wish to enrol in our university.

There are a lot of awful courses. everything else it's ok

I consider it as the turning point of my life. I have a difficulty studying in Italian and all the courses are taken in Italian. Professors have a very high standard that they would fail students.
Being multidisciplinary is great

The most beautiful thing about my university is its being multidisciplinary. Each building belongs to a specific Department, but students studying different subjects can still work close to each other and make up a multidisciplinary environment because the whole free space available has been set up with a desk to study. Shops, cafés, libraries, banks and other utilities may be found in the camp...
