Born in 1984, EPITA (from the French Ecole pour l'Informatique et les Techniques Avancées : School of Computer Science & Advanced Techniques) has been steadily gaining a reputation of excellence among multinational companies, which often recruit our students before the end of their studies.
Born with the expansion of new technologies, EPITA has kept pace with their evolution. The courses, though very technical at the beginning, have opened up a great deal even as the technical complexity has increased. EPITA took the opposite approach of the one adopted by most other engineering schools: whereas the latter allowed computer science in to try to give it a place, EPITA brought in the other sciences to join information technology and yet without losing any of its main competences that constitute its strength and identity.

Courses exposed me to core computing concepts, while projects and assignments allowed me to apply what I learned in real scenarios. Working on projects such as web applications and backend systems helped me understand how classroom knowledge translates into real-world solutions. I also appreciated how studying pushed me to develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and the ability to learn independently—skills that are very important in the tech field. Another positive aspect was the growth I experienced beyond academics. Managing deadlines, group projects, and personal responsibilities taught me time management, teamwork, and resilience. Over time, I became more confident in my abilities and clearer about my career goals in software development. However, there are areas that can be improved. Sometimes, limited access to advanced tools, learning resources, or more hands-on practical sessions slowed down deeper understanding. More industry-focused training, real-life case studies, and consistent practical exposure would greatly enhance the learning experience and better prepare students for the job market. Overall, I would summarise my study experience as challenging but rewarding. It has shaped my mindset, strengthened my technical foundation, and prepared me for the next stage of my career. Despite the challenges, the experience has been worth it, and it has played a major role in who I am becoming as a professional and as an individual.

Finding a suitable accommodation can be challenging, but at EPITA we make it as easy as possible for you to find the home that will suit you best during your stay in Paris.The international department at EPITA offers accommodation services to all international students enrolled in their bachelor or master programs before their arrival in France. Once the first installment of tuition fees is paid, the student will have access to the EPITA international students’ accommodation portal. Then he/she can choose and reserve their accommodation even before arriving in Paris.
The Internet connection at the school runs at 1 Gbps (optical fiber), permitting 2,500 work stations to work simultaneously. All facilities are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The whole campus is WI-FI connected, enabling students to use mobile devices anywhere. In addition, Voice over IP (VoIP) is possible throughout the network.

The French State organisation called CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingenieurs) has renewed its trust in EPITA by extending its accreditation to deliver EPITA’s Computer Science Engineering Graduate Degree (recognized as a Master’s Degree) for a maximum possible duration, i.e. 3 years, for repositioning on the periodic accreditation of Paris region.This institutional recognition of the quality of training provided by EPITA, combined with ongoing support from thousands of companies that offer internships and jobs to our students each year, rewards the investment of teachers, researchers as well as the administrative staff of the school.
