We offer a range of stimulating courses reflecting academic expertise in areas including philosophy of religion and ethics, Christian theology and culture, biblical studies, religious history, Islam, and Judaism.
Research
- Our research expertise spans a wide range of areas; all of our academic staff are internationally recognised in their fields.
- Much of our work is interdisciplinary, engaging with history, literature, philosophy, critical theory, politics, economics and natural science.
- We study primary texts in the original language (whether that be Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic or Arabic) and use secondary sources in various modern languages.

A degree in theology and religious studies leads to a wide range of careers. You will be equipped for a variety of positions that call for skills such as the careful analysis of texts and complex issues, reasoned decision-making, sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
