School of Catholic Theology

The School represents its mission of research, education and services in a context of commonality, academic as well as ecclesiastical. Students and teachers, men and women, lay people, religious, priests and deacons, try to form a community of people who not only have the same study object but also work from a shared faith and shared spirituality.

The School of Catholic Theology was founded at Tilburg University on 1 January 2007 under the name Faculty of Catholic Theology, as a result of a merger between the Catholic Theological University in Utrecht and the Tilburg Theological Faculty.

And challenges you to think critically about the meaning of life, life and death, your own role and that of your neighbor in relation to society. If you find philosophy, history, religion and society interesting, the study Theology , which combines all these elements, is suitable for you. Theology is open to everyone: whether or not you are a believer and for both young people and people who are already older.

Tilburg School of Catholic Theology points out the Catholic tradition in the context of contemporary society and studies the individual's spiritual need.
