In close collaboration with its partners and networks, the University of Lille designs and implements innovative programmes in research, training and knowledge transfer, always with the aim of responding to the major challenges of our society. By merging Lille's three universities, it has empowered itself to achieve its ambition of accessing major funding programmes (I-SITE University of Lille Nord-Europe, opération campus, etc.).

University Ranking
Housing services
International students in exchange programs can apply for CROUS university accommodation because the Direction of International mobilities has a number of reserved rooms. The rooms on the university campus are (sometimes but not always) smaller and less comfortable than a studio in town, but they have financial advantages: they are cheap, are exempt from the housing tax, and for electricity, gas or other utilities, no need to deal with the contract.

Campus life
The University of Lille is located near several major metropolitan areas and European capitals (Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Cologne, Dortmund, etc.). Connected by extensive international-standard transport infrastructure (including the airports of Paris-Roissy, Brussels and London), the University of Lille is expanding its sphere of influence across the whole world, as evidenced by its high-level international collaborations with more than 50 countries.
Student clubs
Students and staff at the University of Lille can sign up for artistic practical workshops all year round. Encouraging amateur artistic practice, independently or with professional supervision. Promoting exchange, discovery and expression, and providing opportunities to meet knowledge-creators and artists.
The university has also received institutional accreditation from several government bodies including Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of France.
