The university library is AAU’s academic information centre and provides literature and information media for studying, research, teaching and continuing education. Furthermore, the university library also offers members of the general public in Carinthia specialist literature as part of an academic general library.
The Zentrale Informatikdienst (ZID) supports the members of the AAU in achieving their scientific and administrative goals by means of coordinated services in the area of information and communication technology (ICT). The ZID ensures that the AAU optimally aligns itself in the highly dynamic ICT environment and also develops it further.
Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt is located in western Klagenfurt, close to Lake Wörthersee. AAU is one of the few campus universities in Austria. Since 2007, the campus has also been home to Austria’s most contemporary University Sports Institute (USI), which has an area of 1156 m² available for sporting activities. The USI offers a wide range of sports on campus, as well as a variety of sports camps all across Europe.
Austria’s most modern University Sports Instituteis located on the University of Klagenfurt campus. This means that you can quite easily drop into a sports class between lectures. Around 250 different sports classes are offered every semester, and there’s an incredibly varied range of options on offer. From yoga to fencing and ball games, there’s something for everyone. The USI also runs seasonal sports camps for sports including kitesurfing, climbing and ski tours.
Very satisfied so far, everything is taught 100% online throughout the first two semesters, therefore you can study from anywhere. The diversified study environment embraces makes the study program what it promises.
