Student services

To help you settle in, every visiting student will be allocated to a student "buddy". A "buddy" is an EBS student who has volunteered to take care of you during your initial time at our university. He/she is responsible for:

  • introducting you to social life at EBS,
  • showing you around the area,
  • providing you with inside knowledge on student life at EBS.

A student initiative called "International Student Relations" (ISR) is dedicated to the buddy allocation process and to assisting international students in getting to know EBS.

Housing services

EBS Housing Office assists international students in finding affordable, furnished and convenient accommodation near both campus sites.

We help to overcome the language barrier and some real estate customs such as f.i. year-long contracts, renting out unfurnished flats or complicated rental fee structures.

Nearly all our students rent in the surrounding towns and villages, renting private apartments or sharing flats.

In terms of dormitories, there is very limited dorm space in Oestrich Winkel, whereas in Wiesbaden students can rent into three privately managed student dorms and a number of student apartment houses.

Library services

The EBS Library provides students and faculty members of the EBS University with an efficient and innovative academic specialized library. The EBS Library offers comprehensive information services and access to several databases containing leading scientific journals in economics and law.

ICT services

The lecture halls and classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards or highperformance projectors and screens. WiFi is available throughout the building, and a total of 48 laptops can be used for examinations and language tests.

Medical services

Students are by law required to hold a sufficient health insurance plan in order to become enrolled at a German University. In general, there are two types of insurance plans: public/statutory insurance and private insurance plans.

Student Life

Campus life

With the founding of EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht and the consequent expansion of study programmes, EBS campuses are currently spread across five locations and will undergo further development.

  • EBS Wiesbaden Campus
  • EBS Rheingau Campus
  • EBS Village

Alongside the study programme, the students can enjoy an extensive range of sports and leisure activities. They can become active in the student-led organizations, take part in university sport and together with fellow students enjoy the night life.

The cities of Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt are in easy reach and offer a wealth of shopping opportunities, cinemas, restaurants, pubs and night clubs for a varied nightlife and active weekends.

Sports facilities

Weekly sporting activities offered by the sports organization, student-organized excursions to the go-kart track and skiing trips, for instance, help the students to keep fit during their studies.

Activities offered include:

  • football
  • tennis
  • rugby
  • volleyball
  • handball
  • basketball
  • cheerleading
  • go-karting
  • paintball

Student clubs

Studying at the EBS means a lot more than just lectures, learning and exams. The importance of recreation is by no means underestimated at the EBS. Campus life and also the cities of Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt offer students a wide range of activities and leisure facilities.

In addition to their studies, nearly every EBS student becomes involved in one or more of the EBS student associations. In total there are over 20 associations.

EQUIS accreditation of EBS Business School, the 10-year accreditation awarded by the German Council of Science and Humanities and the FIBAA accreditation of our Law and Business Studies programmes are confirmation of the high quality of our programmes.

EBS was an excellent accelerator for personal, as well as, career development. The university enjoys a great reputation in the german speaking world and has a huge track record of successful alumni, which are easy approachable and present on campus. The general study atmosphere fosters learning in small groups and since intakes are really small (around 200 students per...

The main issue about this place is the accommodation. The Business School is not really in the city, but in a small village where is hard to find accommodation. The university helps with that, so take that opportunity and choose the places that are closer to the university, once the public transports are not the best.
