History
Established in 2017 as an Institute, the Faculty of Economics (GTK) is a recent addition to ELTE, but it is a strong contender for being the No. 1 among Hungarian business and economics programmes.
Education
Programmes taught at the Faculty of Economics include two English-language bachelor programmes (International Business Economics and Finance and Accounting), two Hungarian language bachelor programmes, and four Hungarian Master’s programmes (including an MBA).
We are committed to English-language teaching; not only are two of the BA programmes available in English, about 50% of all undergraduate courses are offered in English as well. The fact that the Faculty of Economics welcomes foreign students from over 50 universities every semester also demonstrates as well as boosts the international character and appeal of the Faculty.

It is an extraordinary experience to study in a building equipped with the technological achievements of the 21st century, designed by great Hungarian architects in a unique style at the end of the 19th century.
In addition to the many classrooms, it houses the Student Office, the International Office, the lecturers' rooms, the Student Union and several student rooms on the ground floor. If you have a few minutes between lectures or seminars, you can discover the special beauty of "the house" for yourself.
