From early exposure to clinical patients in the pre-clerkship curriculum to broad exposure to the major medical disciplines and rotations that will grow your clinical skills in key areas, including medical knowledge, patient care, practice-based learning, and systems-based practice in the clerkship portion of the curriculum, our MD Program will prepare you for residency and your life’s work as an MD.

Representing the best of both worlds, Grand Bahama Island is a tropical paradise with all the modern amenities you would expect from a contemporary island located just miles off the Florida coast. An array of restaurants, places of worship, schools, golf courses, and day spas are located within a short distance of campus, in addition to various tourist attractions.
WAUSM students have access to an array of fitness and self-care service providers on Grand Bahama Island, including the YMCA of Grand Bahama where all WAUSM students have membership access and offers swimming, martial arts, tennis, yoga, and aerobics classes. CrossFit is another close option frequented by students.
