About

History

  • In 2000, one of the largest private foundations in Germany - the ZEIT-Stiftung  Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius - founded the Bucerius Law School - the country's first private law school.
  • The aim was to create a new type of law school that would realize the ideal of unifying research and teaching, and where committed teaching would be valued just as much as academic research.

Education

Are you looking for a truly rewarding law school experience? A versatile and challenging study program which gives you the opportunity to apply yourself academically, develop your individual talents and gain international experience? Then you've come to the right place.

Research

Bucerius Law School is an inherently academic institution, and we practice the unity of research and teaching. In our opinion, excellent teaching and excellent research go hand in hand and are mutually dependent. We are furthermore committed to promoting research by developing sustainable collaborations that facilitate exchange among its academic faculty and doctoral candidates.
