History
Founded in 1912, the Driehaus College of Business was among the first 10 business colleges in the United States and the first at an American Catholic university. The college is named for DePaul alumnus Richard H. Driehaus in recognition of his longtime partnership with his alma mater and $30 million gift in 2012.
Education
Grounded in our urban, Catholic and Vincentian values, the Driehaus College of Business leverages its Chicago location and innovative faculty and staff to develop socially responsible leaders and managers who are prepared to add immediate value in today’s diverse and globalized environment. Our faculty advance knowledge through a balance of theoretical and applied scholarship that informs business practice and enhances student learning.
Research
DePaul University business professors are industry experts whose research impacts not only academic thought and student learning, but also business practice and public policymaking. From tracking local housing trends to studying white-collar fraud, our faculty are at the forefront of today's pressing business and societal issues.
The Driehaus College of Business is home to 17 centers and institutes that produce research, support educational activities, host conferences and foster collaboration among faculty, students and the business community.Career
An impressive majority of DePaul business school graduates are active and working in their chosen fields. Every year, the percentage of our graduates working in fields related to their degree is in the 90s.
