• cooperation with all research units of the University, external scientific structures and institutions;  
• coordination, encouragement and support of research activities of departments, institutes and centers of IEU; 
• monitoring of all aspects of University’s scientific life, analysis of information concerning IEU’s scientific activities; 
• development and integration of methods for scientific process management; 
• financial assistance in scientific projects and suggestions provided by lecturers and staff of IEU institutes and centers on a competitive basis; 
• organization of postgraduate study to train specialists at the third academic level of higher education;
