History
IMT Mines Albi is an Engineering Grande Ecole that was created in 1993.
Education
For 25 years, it has trained engineers, generalists and doctoral students who are able to adapt to the demands of the industrial world and the challenges of tomorrow, according to its 4 areas of expertise:
- Materials and processes for aeronautics and space
- Bio-health and powder engineering
- Biomass engineering and Renewable Energy
- Organization dynamics
Research
Many partnerships and contractual agreements are signed with international research centers and industries. In this context, our international commitment is very strong:
- 50% of our PhDs and post-doctoral students come from overseas.
- international conferences are organized each year
- our research centers are involved in many international projects, and allow us to increase our international publications
Career
The School leaves no stone unturned to facilitate placement: an educational pathway that encourages personal development and post-graduation follow-up. Result: more than 9 out of 10 students find employment in less than 6 months

Housing services
The accommodation capacity of the campus allows all the international student-engineers and masters students to be lodged in halls of residence owned by the School.

Campus life
On the campus, students benefit from an area of more than 22ha, including 46 200 m² of reception and service infrastructure: documentation center, computer rooms, multimedia services, catering, gyms, green spaces... and only 5 minutes away from the center of Albi, with modern architecture to ensure the comfort of students to unwind in a green oasis.

Physical and sports activity at the school is done in two closely related ways:
- Student-engineers of the school must practise a mandatory sport during their school year as part of the sports class.
- Every student can also practise extracurricular sports activities for leisure or competition.
