Student services
- Internationalisation is an important part of the Wits Business School mission, enriching the learning experience for students through exchange programmes, trips to iconic business destinations, international guest speakers and visiting professors from world-leading business schools.
- Our curriculum has an African and global focus and many of our permanent academic staff members come from outside of South Africa. Furthermore, our internationalisation efforts continue to establish WBS globally as an African institution of the highest quality and academic excellence.
Housing services
- Campus Housing and Residence Life is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the University's residence programme, including accommodation and meals, and the provision of recreational facilities and programmes for the improved academic performance and the holistic development of students within a residential environment.
Library services
- The Wits Library of Management, WLM, is situated in the Donald Gordon Building on the Management campus of the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management, 2, St David's Place, Parktown, Johannesburg.
Campus life
- The main campus is in Parktown in central Johannesburg, the vibrant, commercial hub of the continent. The campus offers a modern learning environment modelled around the Harvard School of Business classroom design – the classic ‘horseshoe’ format – which encourages maximum student-teacher engagement.
Sports facilities
- The Fitness and Wellness Centre closed down during the lock down in 2020 and have not received permission to open in 2021 thus far.
- As this coincide with the end of Zenzele’s management contract, the facility will only open again at a later stage.
- We encourage Witsies, to take part in the online fitness challenge which is available on our home page and make use of the outsidoor gymnasia on East and West Campus for the time being.
Student clubs
- The WBS Alumni Association supports the WBS mission to be recognised worldwide as Africa’s premier business school. It upholds the WBS values as values of its alumni, which are: academic excellence; critical, creative and clarified thought leadership; personal accountability; a positive work ethic; mutual respect and support; the celebration, respect and recognition of diversity; and sensitivity to wider societal issues and a responsibility to society.
Accreditation
- WBS programmes are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE)/Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) and our MBA is reviewed every five years for re-accreditation with the Association of MBAs (AMBA) ensuring the highest standards for your education.
