National College of Ireland was established in 1951. At the close of the Second World War, there was a widespread desire to improve social conditions, which was joined, in Ireland, to a renewed sense of nationality and an awareness of the threat posed by the Soviet Union.

I have really liked the size of the University which consist of 2 buildings only. The geographical situation is ideal as it is in the centre of Dublin near all commodities. The Tramway stops outside the door. As it is a small university, you will know a lot of people from different courses, there are a lot of clubs and societies, and there is always something happening in the main hall, such as career help, speed dating with employers… The course of Honours Psychology is intense but very rewarding and the lecturers want you to achieve your maximum potential; they are always on hand to help with any queries. Overall, the 3 years flew by and I will miss this University.
NCI has been a great experience. Academically, the quality of course content is a generous amount of information. The course I'm currently enrolled in is a really fascinating one and requires hardwork. Staff and Lecturers' are amazing and ready to help. Overall I would recommend
Not the best facilities. Lecturers are OK. Some course modules not hugely relevant. Exam setup was good. Admin was OK. Great location. Can be very busy at times. Classrooms are clean and well-equipped

Students will only be able to attend on-campus as timetabled by their programme of studies, for pre-booked study, or by pre-arranged appointment. You must swipe your card to log in (and again to log out when exiting) at the entrances to the College.
