The availability of university accommodation in Aachen is limited. Therefore, participation in individual allocation procedures is usually required. Because of the demand for university accommodation, it can be necessary to switch to the private accommodation market. There are a number of options for finding private accommodation in and around Aachen. Accommodation on the private market is priced between 290 EUR and 550 EUR per month, of course depending on the size and the number of rooms. For short-term accommodation, there are many hotels, a few youth hostels, and a boardinghouse.

In Germany, you typically select and register with a General Practitioner (GP) who acts as your "family doctor" (Hausarzt). The GP will refer you to other specialists such as eye specialists, dermatologists, etc.
One of the highlights of our Business School is its location on the RWTH Aachen campus. Research and teaching in Aachen are first and foremost application-oriented and targeted at finding practical solutions to real-world challenges. Visible evidence of this is the RWTH Aachen campus, which is being developed in close cooperation with industry and will form one of the largest research parks in Europe.
All central facilities and most classrooms of the RWTH Business School are located on the RWTH Aachen campus which is spread out around the city, allowing students to experience the exciting intersection of management and technology first-hand and on a daily basis.
The university hosts extensive leisure and sports facilities such as gyms, fitness rooms, weights rooms, a pool, a beach sports area, a football field, a modern running track as well as tennis courts. For sports such as climbing or riding, the Sports Centre cooperates with various sports centers in and around Aachen. Most water sports courses offered by the Sports Centre take place at Wildenhof, a university-owned property of the Rursee lake. From "classical" sports like football or Badminton to more "exotic" ones like capoeira - there should be something for everyone!
At RWTH Aachen University, you can engage yourself in one of the more than 75 student initiatives. Founded by and for students there are initiatives for everyone, whether you are into technology, sports, or culture, if you want to show social engagement, or if you are looking for international exchange. From A for Aachen Drone Development Initiative (ADDI) to W for Windfänger e.V. the initiatives offer lots of different possibilities to gain some practical experience besides your studies, meet new people, work on your social skills, and prepare for your professional life.
The school of business and economics at RWTH Aachen University is one of the few faculties in Germany to bear the international seal of approval of the renowned accreditation agency Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). With the re-accreditation in 2021, the AACSB praised the high quality standard in teaching and research, the innovative ability of the faculty as well as the commitment of the teachers. This applies in particular to the extensive e-learning offerings. Worldwide, only 5% of the economic science faculties are AACSB accredited. In Germany, only nine other faculties or business schools meet the high international standards of the AACSB.
