History
The idea of creating Kazakh-British Technical University was conceived by the former President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is now the leader of the nation. Further discussions on the establishment of the University were held during President Nazarbayev’s official visit to the United Kingdom in November 2000.
Education
Bachelor’s programs are the first level of higher education and the foundation for professional growth. KBTU programmes provide students with a strong theoretical foundation and practical skills in their chosen field. Education is based on international standards and includes real-life projects, internships, and collaboration with industry partners.
The Professional Master’s Program is more practice-oriented, focusing on deepening professional training. It is possible to combine studies with work, provided that classes are attended regularly.

KBTU really has the right to be called British
Most of all I like that our university has international connections, British ABET accreditation. The study is interesting, the teachers are mostly young, ambitious and understand any student. I also like the fact that the university is fully consistent with the British, all lectures are conducted in English, students choose their own teacher and and the materials that are used are mainly taken from English-language sources But of course, as an ambitious student, I want more and more practices, I want to work directly in factories, industry. That is, I want to put the theoretical knowledge I have gained into practice.
Fruitful experience
The course I opted for while studying at KBTU was incredibly fruitful for me. The professors have been wonderful in guiding the students and favoring a practical way of teaching, which helped me understand different aspects of my coursework. In the BA program in engineering, with a concentration in automation and control, I gained a breadth of knowledge and the skills needed for industrial engineering.

One of the best universities in Kazakhstan, which teaches in English and provides an opportunity to gain a lot of experience and knowledge.

Housing services
KBTU JASTAR CITY is a new generation dormitory, consisting of 5 buildings, where all conditions for living, studying and recreation are created. Modern, comfortable 1, 2, 3 and 4-bed rooms are furnished and provided with an Internet connection (Wi-Fi), as well as common study spaces. Household premises are equipped with automatic washing machines and ironing boards.
