Faculty of Theology

In addition to the traditions dating back to the 19th century that the Faculty of Theology has been building upon since its foundation in 1991, the faculty is also connected to the Catholic Diocese of České Budějovice. The faculty focuses on theology, philosophy, social work and charity studies in its research and education. 

In its research and teaching activities, the faculty focuses on theology and philosophy as well as social work and education. Emphasis is put on the Christian ethical and social values and applicants can choose from a range of bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes, as well as lifelong learning programmes. 

Its graduates find employment both in church organisations aimed at training, educational and cultural activities, as well as the public sector, especially as social workers in social care and educators at centres for leisure activities.
