History
The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) was established in April 1998 in cooperation with the State University of New York, New Paltz, and the State University of New York, Empire State University. This cooperation enables UNYP to offer students the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized American bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York.
Education
Through these three unique schools, UNYP delivers Czech and American accredited bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, Communication & Media, Digital Media Arts, Information Technology, International Relations, English language & Literature, and Psychology. UNYP also offers a three-year Business Administration program with a concentration in Finance, Marketing, Sports Management, and Human Resources.
Research
In 2009, a research budget was established at the University of New York in Prague to support the faculty in all of the schools in their research work, and to facilitate and increase the university’s research output. Since then, research at UNYP has developed steadily. Our faculty members are highly active in conducting significant research and publishing their work within the Czech Republic and abroad in academic journals, research conferences and books. UNYP faculty members also contribute to popular journals and magazines, and many are recognized as leading experts in their respective fields due to their media presence.
Career
The UNYP Career Office serves students and recent graduates as they transit from the university to the labor market. Research shows that 65% of global graduates feel that attending university has not increased their chances of acquiring a job. The UNYP Career Office is dedicated to bridging this gap by offering a wide range of career services that could help our students develop their personal skills and elevate their career prospects.

UNYP
I highly recommend UNYP! The small class sizes create a supportive learning environment where professors truly care about students' success. The international atmosphere fosters diverse perspectives, and the campus is located in a beautiful, historic city. The academic programs are well-structured, with hands-on learning opportunities. If you're looking for quality education in an inspiring setting, this university is a fantastic choice!
Prague is a great city
Well I am currently a second year student and have to say I have been enjoying it so far. Studying and working at the same time is really easy. Also living in Prague is amazing. School staff is always helpful and friendly. I have a great teacher for social science. Overall I do recommend.
Staff
Like any other uni there are always some professors that make it hell for the students , however, there are plenty that make it a great experience too :) For example Patrono, had him 3 semesters in a row and I�d definitely attend his class again

Student services
The University of New York in Prague is a diverse school of many nationalities. We are fully aware of the fact that arriving in a foreign country and getting used to a new environment can be very challenging. The International Office is part of the Student Affairs Office, and we are committed to helping international students settle in Prague. If you’re coming from far afield, don’t worry! We will help you adjust to your new surroundings from the very beginning of your stay in Central Europe, and support you throughout your time studying at UNYP.
Housing services
Several accommodations in Prague could be options for freshmen students. As these are suitable housing options for many newcomers to Prague and availability may be limited, it is important to book a room early.
Library services
The University of New York in Prague Library is located at Londýnská 32, just across the street from the main campus, and has more than 17,000 books, periodicals, and audio/visual materials. The UNYP Library remains one of the largest collections of English language books in Prague.
ICT services
UNYP students can use more than 75 computers located in two PC labs and in the Library. All computers run on the latest Microsoft Wndows and Office software and on business-level Dell hardware. The library itself provides enough workstations dedicated for the individual work of our students and a high-performance print/copy center.
Campus life
The campus is located in the beautiful and quiet district of Vinohrady, home to stunning architecture and beautiful parks just steps from the center of Prague. The University campus is excellently situated between two public transport hubs, I. P. Pavlova and Náměstí Míru, for easy access to downtown or around Prague. The location provides ideal conditions for teaching and learning as well as student life.
Sports facilities
UNYP provides all its students, faculty, and staff members with free access to a variety of sports facilities. Sport and recreation are an important part of student life, and through your participation in diverse athletic activities, we hope to strengthen your ties with the UNYP community and make your experience at UNYP as enjoyable as possible.
Accreditation
UNYP is officially recognized by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports as a private higher education institution. The Ministry of Education has accredited five of UNYP’s bachelor’s degree programs.
Students who complete the Business Administration, Communication & Media, European Business Administration, International Relations, and Psychology degree programs will be awarded a bakalář degree (Czech bachelor’s degree) from UNYP. The Ministry of Education has also accredited UNYP’s graduate psychology program as a magister (Mgr.) degree.
