The School of Indigenous Studies provides a number of offerings, from pathway and diploma courses for Indigenous students, to undergraduate and Master degrees offered to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. Certain undergraduate units may be taken as broadening or elective units. 

The School of Indigenous Studies is committed to Indigenous-led, quality research that makes a positive contribution to both the Indigenous and academic communities.

The School of Indigenous Studies undertakes research initiatives and projects that are based on or develop from the following:

• Group-based exhibitions which support historical and social justice issues.
• International cultural exchanges and audio-visual telecommunication link-ups.
• Teaching, workshops and public forums.
• Oral history and arts conferences.
