Work more in your field

I like working in the lab and discovering so many things about our bodies .my field has so many various labs which were perfect ,but I think the professors should work on scholar students more and prepare them for research.

A transformative journey

My four years at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) were nothing short of transformative, shaping not only my academic understanding but also my personal growth. Starting in 2021, I embarked on a Bachelor of Microbiology, a field that immediately captivated me with its intricate world of microscopic organisms. The initial semesters were a whirlwind of foundational courses. I delved into the basics of biology, chemistry, and mathematics. The curriculum was designed to provide a strong base, which was essential for the more specialized microbiology courses that followed. I remember the challenging lab sessions where we learned to culture bacteria, stain specimens, and use microscopes. These hands-on experiences were invaluable, turning theoretical knowledge into practical skills. As I progressed, the curriculum became more focused. Courses in microbial genetics, immunology, and environmental microbiology opened my eyes to the diverse applications of the field. I found myself particularly drawn to the study of pathogens and their impact on human health. I engaged in research projects, which was a highlight of my academic journey. Under the guidance of dedicated professors, I learned how to design experiments, analyze data, and present my findings. These experiences were instrumental in developing my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Beyond the classroom, AWKUM offered a vibrant campus life. I participated in extracurricular activities, which helped me to connect with fellow students and expand my horizons. The university's diverse student body created an environment of cultural exchange and mutual respect. I am grateful for the opportunities I had at AWKUM. It has equipped me with the knowledge and skills I need to pursue my career goals.

The Central Library of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences was formally inaugurated in August 10, 2012, with the presenceof Dr. Hashemi, the Minister of Health and Medical Education.

The library was constructed with a total area of 3063 m²intwo floors in the Pardis area of the University.

After registration and as academic year commences,the ZUMS’s students are encouraged to go for specific clinics for thorough primary health checkups as tipically needed for a university student.
