Education
Change is an integral part of life, and thus of the professional practice of artists, designers, educators and cultural producers. At the beginning of the study programme, the context in which the student will later become professionally active is still largely unknown. This means that the education programme, while being closely connected to contemporary practices, must also prepare the student for future practices which are still emerging.

encourage freedom but feels unfair and eurocentric
The school encourages freedom greatly, but not as much as they claim to, and the studies tend to be very dutch centric, besides white and eurocentric. some of the subjective ways we get graded are somewhat unfair or not possible to argue against; if a teacher grades you low for something they say you're missing, and you were not missing it, you can't bring it up, the grade is already set. they also keep getting more and more students each year without concern for space or availability of the facilities. you cant finish your project for the semester because too many people are getting introductions so everything is full and fully booked, teachers show no regard for issues like this.
