In 1991, there were five departments at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the sixth department was established in 2003. Following the overall development and new activities, the Faculty went through the reorganisation from 2005 until 2009.
The Faculty’s research groups have participated in numerous domestic and European projects as either heads or associates.Cooperation with the economy, encouragement of entrepreneurship and transfer of knowledge and technologies are fundamental indicators of the Faculty’s development.
HelpDesk deals with problems related to staff and students’ user accounts (e-mail, ftp, cmu, ID cards, etc.), connecting to LAN and etfos wireless network.
The library has more than 30 000 bibliographic units. 62% of books are from the field of electrical engineering, 27% from the field of computer engineering accompanied by the ones from the fields of physics, mathematics, dictionaries, and encyclopaedias. Additionally, the library has 34% of journals from the field of electrical engineering and 26% from the field of computer engineering.
ICT support includes proper computers operation of both staff and in laboratories, software support, managing local wireless network, managing additional services (POP3, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, databases, dial-up, etc.), providing system protection (unauthorised access, antivirus protection, safe data storage), designing applications, planning system development and implementing new technical solutions.
