- Start of learning activities at what was then a branch of Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences
- Establishment as an independent university of applied sciences offering courses in Business Administration and Social Work
- Opening of the Faculty of Engineering with courses in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (separate faculties since 1991)

Hardwork and perseverance
I cam say that it was all challenging yet enjoy. It was challenging because of the hectic schedules u have but I come up to manage my time. Enjoy because despite of the business there is still an enjoyment of your work. It's about how u cope up your studies without pressuring yourself.

Student services
The International Office informs and supports students who wish to undertake an exchange semester or internship abroad and are the point of contact for international guest students and lecturers.
Key tasks of the International Office at a glance:
- Maintaining contact with partner universities abroad
- Organising information events on studying and internships abroad
- Individual advice and support for German students planning to study or undertake an internship abroad.
- Advising foreign prospective students
- Advice and support for foreign students at Landshut University of Applied Sciences.
- Placing scholarships and maintaining contacts with funding bodies
Housing services
The Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz currently operates three residential complexes in Landshut with a total of more than 500 apartments.
Library services
Currently, the library holds 100,000 volumes, 200 periodicals, more than 145,000 e-books and a considerable number of electronic journals. The library stock primarily covers the subjects of Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration and Social Work. The library also provides access to numerous databases and as a special service Tablets and E-Readers can be borrowed from the library.
