History
TH Rosenheim is located an hour's drive away from the Bavarian capital Munich and the Austrian city of Salzburg. The university's key areas of expertise are Business, Technology, Design and Healthcare studies. Established in 1971 the university is best known for its Faculty of Wood Engineering and Construction.
Education
TH Rosenheim is known for its open and friendly atmosphere. Whether it be the students, the lecturers, or the staff, everyone is very committed to working together to shape the university. Intensive and individual support provided by lecturers, small group study settings, application-focused teaching and training, and the interdisciplinary exchange between the subjects and faculties are just some of the many small but significant aspects that characterise everyday student life and the university campus. Added to this are the many well-equipped workshops and laboratories, which offer broad technical as well as creative scope for course-specific projects in all subjects.
Research
Rosenheim has a long tradition of inspirational, innovative strength and a solid market-oriented practical connection. As the number one university partner in one of Europe's strongest economic areas, the students of Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences have the best regional, national, and even international links with industry and research. Through study projects, theses, executive education programmes, and applied research, the university works intensively with industry, including small and medium-sized companies, and acts as forum, initiator, partner, and catalyst for positive economic development within the region and beyond.
Career
The students gain significant experience that extends far beyond the boundaries of true specialist knowledge by taking part in practical projects with partners from diverse industries. From project management to specific research assignments, the concept of theory-practice transfer forms the focus of study at Rosenheim. My Experience throughout My Course Of Study.
My study at the university was great. I gained lots of experiences throughout my study, from doing research to gaining real life experience on how things work in the actual field. I also got the chance to learn more from my lecturers. I did my attachment with relevant companies and learnt more and also got the chance to work with big companies and gained more working experience which helped me in my course of study.

Housing services
Munich Student Union halls of residence: the student service provider runs two halls of residence here with a total of 345 spaces. Student rooms for international students are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Room rates are around 300 EUR per month. However, room reservations can only be made after being admitted to your degree programme in Rosenheim.
Library services
University members can use the library independently of their location to a large extent via the homepage. An installed and activated VPN client, as well as a library user number are required for access.
ICT services
The Online Community is a central port of call for current information and dates relating to all aspects of studying, as well as study material for the courses.
Medical services
Students are required to have a sufficient insurance cover. Please contact a Germab statutory health insurance company. To enrol at TH Rosenheim, you have to provide proof of health insurance with an electronic report (M10) by your health insurance company.
Campus life
Campus Rosenheim is located about 20 minutes by foot from the city center of Rosenheim. Basically, all important locations within Rosenheim can be also reached by bike within ten minutes. Just in oposite of the street you can find two student residences, which offer affordable accommodation for students: CampusRO and Munich Student Union. The campus has a friendly atmosphere and modern buildings which provide an ideal learning environment.

To ensure that it’s not just your thinking muscle doing all the exercise, a wide range of sports are on offer to provide for a healthy balance. We have something to suit everyone, from beginners through to champion competitors, whether it’s something you do on your own or together with others in regional clubs, amateur teams, and university sports.
